Hey filmmakers!
Here's a recap of our Valentine's Day meeting. Get up to speed if you missed the meeting, or just refresh your memory if you were zoning out! :)
We voted on hosting this year's film festival offsite; as of now, it's the Long Beach Art Theatre. The festival is either going to be held on Saturday June 2nd, or Sunday June 3rd, from 1-4 pm. The submissions to the festival must be completely original work (including music).
In two weeks we'll be voting on our PR board member, who will be in charge of the club's social networking. The two members that are running for the position are Dayana and Justin. Thanks guys, and good luck!
Our club president Mary shared a video she made last number called "Freeze Tag." Our meetings are a great place to show off your work and get some feedback from fellow club members. If you'd like to share something with the club, download it to YouTube and we'll put it on the (relatively) big screen in our classroom! Just make sure that the video doesn't run too long. (We're talking in the 5 minute neighborhood).
As previously discussed, the club is going to start attending TV tapings as a fundraiser. Most of you said you'd be available on Fridays, so we're going to see which shows are available and let you know. Some people are available only on Tuesdays, so we're going to try and schedule a taping in lieu of a meeting.
Coming Up Next Week:
-Mary will update us on the Lighting Workshop
-We'll be discussing making a commercial as a club. You don't want to miss it!
Thanks everyone! We'll see you next Tuesday (2-21-12) at 6pm in room D228.
